This model was designed by request of one of my Facebook followers, who is from Guatemala. The quetzal is the national bird of Guatemala. I recommend using tissue paper or foil-backed paper size 50cm x 50cm. The model becomes quite thick in places when folded so it is best to use this size of paper to avoid tearing. The video below shows how to make a quetzal with two extra tail feathers.
